Day Four

Standard

Today we will be dealing with the negative emotion called Guilt. It’s normal to feel guilty when we do something wrong. And it can also be a good thing because it shows that we still care about God and others. Guilt leads us to Jesus, who can cleanse us from our wrong doing if we confess our sins to Him. However, Guilt can also be a hindrance to our spiritual growth, if we hold on to it and moan over it after we ask Jesus to forgive and cleanse us from it. We must believe that God will do what He says in His Word.

Here are some wonderful promises from the Bible that can help with overcoming Guilt.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1 KJV.

“He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgression from us.” Psalm 103:10, 12 KJV.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV.

“For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:17, 18 KJV.

“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” Hebrews 8: 12 KJV.

Old Guilt doesn’t stand a chance against God!
