We have learned a lot about music during this week. On this last day let us consider what we will do with the information that the Holy Spirit has given us on the subjects of Rock and Roll and Christian Rock music. Will we love Jesus or our music more? The choice is up to us.

Note: I don’t believe that all Contemporary Christian Music is evil. There are some really good singers like Dallas Holm, Steve Camp, and others that lead people to Jesus and Heaven. To know exactly what’s good or bad when it comes to today’s music, we must pray for a discerning mind and an honest heart. The Holy Spirit will help us with this if we sincerely and truthfully ask Him.
Rock and Roll. There are many different kinds of this music: Soft Rock, Heavy Metal, Acid Rock, Disco, Gospel Rock, Christian Rock, and so on and so on. We have all become victims of this very popular music in one form or another. This month we are going to fast from this type of music for a week and discover the heavenly melodies that God wants to give us in place of this banging and clanging noise that we have grown accustomed to. Like Secular Television, getting away from the music of this world is a very challenging step to take (especially if you are a big time Rock and Roll fan). Is the Holy Spirit calling you to partake of this new challenge? Do you truly want to find God’s heavenly music for your life? Then get ready and fasten your seat belts!
